A to-do list for the next Democratic trifecta

Rolling Back Trump

Every square is something Donald Trump or his administration signed, ordered, or put his name on since January 20, 2025. Some can be undone with a signature. Others will take an act of Congress, new rules, or years of rebuilding.

Deporting student protesters

Where it standsStopped by courtsA federal judge in Massachusetts ruled in September 2025 that the policy violates the First Amendment. Khalil's own deportation case continues.

Arrested and moved to deport noncitizen students and faculty over pro-Palestinian protest and speech, including Mahmoud Khalil, a green card holder and Columbia graduate student. It followed Trump's January 2025 order on antisemitism, which directed canceling the visas of student protesters.

How to roll it backRescind the policy and restore revoked visas. Congress can bar deportations based on protected speech.

About

How we choose

Anything Trump or his administration has done since January 20, 2025 that a future administration or Congress could reverse, limit, or keep from happening again. It goes on the list when official records document it or at least two major news outlets report it.

How it's updated

Every morning we check the Federal Register, new laws, court rulings, and major news. New orders are confirmed by the Federal Register, AP, or Reuters before they're added. Descriptions come from the documents themselves and independent reporting, not White House press materials.

Sources and corrections

Every square and court ruling links to its source: official records first, then wire services and major national outlets. No advocacy groups, opinion pieces, or niche publications. Sources and court statuses are re-checked daily, and errors are corrected when found.
