A to-do list for the next Democratic trifecta

Rolling Back Trump

Every square is something Donald Trump or his administration signed, ordered, or put his name on since January 20, 2025. Some can be undone with a signature. Others will take an act of Congress, new rules, or years of rebuilding. Each square shows who it affects.

Restricted USDA farm energy grants

Where it standsIn effect
  1. Oct 1, 2026USDA published a final rule overhauling REAP, effective October 16, 2026. It requires projects to be "fully built and operational before the applicant ever applies," raises cost-sharing to "at least 75 percent of the Project Cost," and bars new solar and wind systems on cropland or with "any component made in a country named as a foreign adversary." Source ↗
  2. Oct 9, 2026Reuters (Leah Douglas and Nichola Groom) reported farmers who had not started a project could previously get grants covering up to half the cost; now they must finish the project and show a year of energy savings first. Source ↗
  3. Oct 9, 2026 · LatestA USDA spokesperson told Reuters the changes "are intended to help the program pay for actual production and results of projects, not just projections." Richa Patel of the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition said that for a lot of farmers, "that just simply won't be possible, especially with these times already being so financially uncertain." How to roll it backA future administration can rewrite the rule through new USDA rulemaking, and Congress can set the Rural Energy for America Program's terms directly in the next farm bill.

About

How we choose

Anything Trump or his administration has done since January 20, 2025 that a future administration or Congress could reverse, limit, or keep from happening again. It goes on the list when official records document it or at least two major news outlets report it.

How it's updated

Every morning we check the Federal Register, court rulings in the cases we track, federal campaign-finance filings (FEC), SEC filings from federal contractors we follow, and major news. New orders are confirmed by the Federal Register, AP, or Reuters before they're added. Descriptions come from the documents themselves and independent reporting, not White House press materials.

Sources and corrections

Every square links to its source: official records first (Federal Register, court filings, federal contract, FEC and SEC records), then wire services and major news outlets. No advocacy groups, opinion pieces, or niche publications. Each square shows when it was last updated. Rulings in tracked cases are checked daily, and errors are corrected when found.

Independent project, not affiliated with any party or campaign.

What others see

Like any website, this page has to be delivered to you. Our host, Cloudflare, handles that and processes standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site. We see only overall totals, like the number of visits in a day. The site's fonts come from Google Fonts, which receives the same kind of request information. Links to sources, Congress, and social networks take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
