A to-do list for the next Democratic trifecta

Rolling Back Trump

Every square is something Donald Trump or his administration signed, ordered, or put his name on since January 20, 2025. Some can be undone with a signature. Others will take an act of Congress, new rules, or years of rebuilding.

Took over the Institute of Peace

Where it standsStopped by courtsA federal judge ruled the takeover illegal in May 2025, but the ruling is on hold while the government appeals.

Seized the independent U.S. Institute of Peace, created by Congress in 1984, and dismantled it. Then the State Department renamed it the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace and put his name on the building.

How to roll it backInstitutions and staff that were dismantled. Reversal takes new appointments, hiring, funding from Congress, and in some cases statutory protections so it can't happen again.

About

How we choose

Anything Trump or his administration has done since January 20, 2025 that a future administration or Congress could reverse, limit, or keep from happening again. It goes on the list when official records document it or at least two major news outlets report it.

How it's updated

Every morning we check the Federal Register, new laws, court rulings, and major news. New orders are confirmed by the Federal Register, AP, or Reuters before they're added. Descriptions come from the documents themselves and independent reporting, not White House press materials.

Sources and corrections

Every square and court ruling links to its source: official records first, then wire services and major national outlets. No advocacy groups, opinion pieces, or niche publications. Sources and court statuses are re-checked daily, and errors are corrected when found.

Independent project, not affiliated with any party or campaign.
