Troops sent into U.S. cities

Where it standsPartly blockedThe Supreme Court blocked the Illinois deployment in December 2025. Other deployments went ahead.

Federalized California's National Guard over the governor's objection and sent Marines to Los Angeles, then deployed Guard troops to Washington, D.C., Memphis, Portland, and Chicago.

How to roll it backRescind the deployments, then reform the Insurrection Act and Title 10 to limit domestic use of the military.
