A to-do list for the next Democratic trifecta

Rolling Back Trump

Every square is something Donald Trump or his administration signed, ordered, or put his name on since January 20, 2025. Some can be undone with a signature. Others will take an act of Congress, new rules, or years of rebuilding.

Trump Arch

Where it standsIn effectIn September 2026, Trump said the arch will double as a military complex able to launch drones and station snipers. On Sept 24 a Trump-appointed federal preservation council ended required consultations on harm to 42 nearby historic sites, and Rep. Don Beyer says excavation has begun.

Planned a 250-foot triumphal arch at Memorial Circle, near Arlington National Cemetery and more than twice the height of the Lincoln Memorial. The Park Service found it would harm historic sightlines, and excavation is starting in September 2026.

How to roll it backConstruction can still be stopped before it is finished. Congress can bar monuments to sitting presidents on federal land.

About

How we choose

Anything Trump or his administration has done since January 20, 2025 that a future administration or Congress could reverse, limit, or keep from happening again. It goes on the list when official records document it or at least two major news outlets report it.

How it's updated

Every morning we check the Federal Register, new laws, court rulings, and major news. New orders are confirmed by the Federal Register, AP, or Reuters before they're added. Descriptions come from the documents themselves and independent reporting, not White House press materials.

Sources and corrections

Every square and court ruling links to its source: official records first, then wire services and major national outlets. No advocacy groups, opinion pieces, or niche publications. Sources and court statuses are re-checked daily, and errors are corrected when found.
